Ahmed Shamim Hassan

I'm Ahmed Shamim Hassan, a software architect with ten years of experience building systems that hold up under scale. Lately I work at the AI-native end: engineering products where the model is the substance, not a sprinkle.

Over those years I've gone from building PHP and Laravel applications to leading product teams and designing system architecture. Most recently I was a senior software engineer at Kahf Yazılım A.Ş.

I contribute to open source — including merged contributions to the Laravel framework — and maintain my own projects on GitHub.

I've written two books — Software Engineering Talk, a Bangla best seller, and Inside Laravel — I teach courses at Megaminds Learning, and I mentor developers through ADPList.

    Designed the architecture behind consumer internet products for a safer web.

    • Led development of a social platform serving 180K+ users and 700K+ posts — AI-powered content moderation with human-review fallback, and an infinite home feed built for growth.
    • Cut SSO admin-panel latency ~80% and public donation/payment flows ~50%; shipped a multi-SSP ads portal that has generated 1M+ BDT for a halal ad network.

  2. Software Development Lead · Kaz360

    2023-03 → 2024-08

    Led a product team end to end — requirement analysis, solution design, and scalable delivery.

    • Architected a freelance marketplace serving hundreds of customers, owning the product lifecycle from requirements through deployment and scaling.

  3. Senior Software Engineer · MyZenTeam

    2022-03 → 2023-02

    Built and scaled the backend of an HR-tech SaaS platform, from data model to delivery.

    • Took hot paths from seconds to a few hundred milliseconds with query-cutting cache strategies, and detected and mitigated a live DoS attack.
    • Restructured multiple modules in two months to hit the roadmap; documentation and GitHub Actions CI/CD accelerated team productivity ~2x.

  4. Software Engineer II · MailerLite

    Owned the Hiring module of the MyZenTeam product, front-end to back-end services.

    • Single-handedly engineered the module that managed 15k+ candidate applications, and designed in-dashboard email sync with candidates that sharply cut the HR team's communication overhead.

    First hire on the MyZenTeam product team — architected a full-featured hiring SaaS out of a hackathon project and helped grow the team.

    Developed and supported the core service behind Tele2 Lithuania, a telecom serving 1M+ users.

  7. Software Engineer · Pathao

    2018-01 → 2019-11

    Core services at Bangladesh's market-leading ride-sharing and logistics platform ($100M+ valuation).

    • Built RESTful APIs for the core Rides Service serving 6M+ users, plus document upload and verification services for 2M+ users.
    • Introduced a fraud-management platform that cut response to fraudulent activity to minutes, and advanced rider-management tools used daily by 100+ support agents.
